Investment in Information Technology is critical to
a healthcare organization's survival.
Information technology is transforming healthcare
delivery and innovating Hospital Information
Systems. Electronic Patient Records (EMR),
Computerized decision support tools, Picture
Archival, Communication Systems, Telemedicine and
several e-Health applications, are delivering
impressive payoffs in improving the quality of
services, optimum utilization of hospital resources
and enhancing clinical outcomes.
Better clinical outcomes and reduced medical errors
are highly dependent on clinical information
systems, which provide decision support and automate
process tools capable of improving care-giver
productivity.
iCARE Practice Management System
iCARE is a browser-based solution developed wholly
by IMTAC. It comprises a Patient Administration
Module (Registration, Appointment Scheduling),
Physician Order Entry System, Electronic Medical
Record (EMR) and Outpatient Billing.
The modular components are built as web services to
communicate over the internet with application
components built in any language but use SOAP as
communication protocol. iCARE uses Microsoft
Enterprise SQL 2005 RDBMS engine.
Integration with HL7 standards can be achieved using
any EAI tool with HL7 adapters or custom-built
message sockets.
Through a strategic partnership with HBO-ACI, the
Middle East distributor of TrakHealth, IMTAC is
executing a project to implement TrakCare HIS in a
550-bedded super specialty teaching hospital. IMTAC
also offers development of customized Patient
Administrative Systems, and integration services
with existing applications.
