(IMTAC) LLC, established in 1984, is a limited
liability company conducting business in the Middle
East and Caspian Region headquartered out of Muscat,
Sultanate of Oman. IMTAC’s holding company,
Renaissance Holdings SAOG ($287 Million for year
2005), operating in global markets, is the largest
Services Company listed on the Muscat Securities
Exchange.
Over the years IMTAC has established itself as one
of the few companies with complete and locally
available expertise to carry out large technology
projects in the region. The company’s business has
been built on a formula of providing outstanding
service and business value for customers across the
region and multiple sectors, be it government, oil &
gas, healthcare, education, banking or large
corporate clients.
Starting as a distributor of Hewlett-Packard (HP) in
1984, IMTAC managed a consistent growth since then
to now emerge as one of the largest technology
companies in its operating region. In addition to
organic growth, IMTAC outperformed its competitors
through geographical diversification and focus on
niche market segments.
IMTAC has 4 subsidiary companies.
IMTAC Technologies Ltd., having its registered
office at Dubai, is a fully owned subsidiary of
IMTAC, conducting business in the United Arab
Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia and
Caspian Littoral States. The company offers total
solutions in the fields of financial services, IT
applications, networking, business intelligence and
physical/information security.
United Drug Stores LLC, an Oman based subsidiary
of IMTAC, markets bulk pharmaceuticals, medical
supplies, and education/training systems to
universities, vocational training institutions and
health care facilities. United Drug Stores
LLC represents a number of well-known brands from Europe
and Asia.
IMTAC Yemen Ltd, a joint venture company between
IMTAC and Griffins ltd., was established in 1997 to
address the technology market in Republic of Yemen.
IMTAC holds 49% equity in IYL and has a long-term
management contract to manage operations of the
company. The IMTAC Yemen office, which is located in the up-market
business area in Sana’a, is fully equipped to
capitalize on opportunities in healthcare,
educational, telecommunications and computing
solutions market.
United Telecommunications LLC (Unitel), a fully
owned subsidiary of IMTAC, was incorporated in 1999
to address IT opportunities in the
telecommunications sector. The company started its
operations with a US$13 million contract from Oman
Telecommunication Company.
